Re-Invention Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) strongly recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and handles personal information with extreme care. Accordingly, the Company established this Privacy Policy to govern how the Company acquires, uses, discloses, transfers, and retains information relating to Users.

- Terminal Information
When a User uses the Services on a terminal or mobile phone, the Company may acquire the terminal identifier, mobile phone identifier, and IP address. The Company may also acquire the name associated by the user with the device, device type, telephone number, country, and other information that the User chooses to provide such as the User’s username and email address.
- Location Information
In cases where a User uses an app provided by the Company on a terminal or mobile phone and consents to providing location information, the Company may acquire information relating to the User’s location.
- Product Shipping Information
In cases where a User purchases goods via the Services, the Company shall acquire product information and shipping information necessary to ship the goods including the name, address, and telephone number of the purchaser. In cases where a third-party sales agent processes User purchases or shipping, the Company may acquire product information and shipping information provided by the User to the sales agent.
- Information Relating to Customer Support
In cases where a User receives customer support from the Company’s customer support team, the Company may acquire and retain contact information provided by the User and information relating to activity on the Services. In addition, the Company may retain exchanges that take place during the provision of support and information included in those exchanges.
- Information Relating to User Actions
When a User uses the Services, the Company may acquire and retain information provided directly to the Company and information provided via third-party service providers that provide the Services. The Company may also acquire information relating to the status of use of the Services by Users.
- Acquisition of Information Using Cookies, etc.
When Users access the Services, the Company acquires the specified technical information indicated below.
The Company and service providers who serve as agents of the Company use log files and tracking technology to acquire and analyze cookies, IP addresses, terminal types, terminal identifiers, browser type, browser language, accessed pages, exit pages, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, number of page views, order of page views, URLs of individual pages, viewing time of specific pages, app or website status, date and time of activity using a Company app or the Company’s website, and other information. The objective of acquisition is internal use, and in some cases, the Company links such information with the user ID numbers of Users.
In addition, the Company may also use other technologies including (i) web beacons to determine whether certain pages have been viewed or whether an email has been opened and (ii) tracking pixels that enable the Company to conduct more effective advertising by excluding existing Users from certain promotional messages, identifying new installation sources, or providing advertisements to Users on other websites.
3. Use of Acquired Information
The Company uses acquired User information for the following purposes.
- To provide the Company’s products and services (including the Services)
- For identity verification and authentication services
- To conduct questionnaires
- For market research, statistical, and analytical purposes
- To perform system maintenance and respond to faults
- To send important notifications such as revisions of the Company’s terms of use, conditions, and policies
- To distribute advertisements and confirm their effects
- To provide technical support and to respond to inquiries from Users
- To facilitate development, provision, maintenance, and enhancement of the Company’s websites, services, content, and advertising
- To develop and provide targeted advertising for the products or services of the Company or third parties
- To prevent improper or potentially unlawful conduct and to enforce the Terms of Use
4. Sharing Information with and Provision of Information to Third Parties
In the following cases, the Company may share User information with third parties.
- When consent is obtained from the User
When consent is obtained from a User, the Company may provide the User’s information (including personal information) to third-party companies, organizations, or individuals.
- Sharing with third-party service providers
The Company provides User information to third parties that perform services on behalf of the Company such as data analysis, email transmission, hosting services, and customer service and to third parties that perform support for the Company’s marketing. All third-party service providers are instructed to maintain the confidentiality of disclosed information and not to use User Information for any purpose other than the provision of services on behalf of the Company.
- Sharing with third-party advertisers
The Company shares with third-party advertisers (i) specified technical information (including IP addresses and mobile terminal identifiers), (ii) statistical information that cannot identify specific individuals, and (iii) information relating to service use that cannot identify specific individuals. Users consent to the use of such information by the Company or third-party advertisers for user trend analysis, demographic statistical analysis, and web analysis and to provide advertising known as behavioral targeting advertising to Users.
- Sharing pursuant to laws
There may be instances where it is necessary for the Company to disclose personal information in Japan or the foreign country where a User resides pursuant to laws, regulations, legal procedures, or a demand from a public or governmental agency.
The Company may disclose User information in cases where the Company deems it necessary or appropriate for national security, law enforcement, or other public interests.
The Company may disclose User information in cases where the Company deems disclosure to be reasonably necessary for enforcement of the terms of use by the Company, for operation of the Company, or to protect Users.
- Sale or merger
In the event of organizational restructuring, merger, or business transfer, the Company may disclose all or some personal information acquired by the Company to the relevant parties.
5. Protection of Personal Information
The Company takes reasonable management, technical, and physical measures to prevent loss, theft, and misuse of, unauthorized access to, and disclosure, alteration, and destruction of the personal information of Users.
To maintain the security of the personal information of Users, the Company notifies its employees regarding guidelines on privacy and security and takes comprehensive internal measures for the protection of privacy.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
If the Company is requested by a User to disclose personal information pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, after verifying that the request is from the User, the Company shall disclose the information without delay (if the relevant personal information does not exist, then the Company shall provide notification to that effect); provided, however, that this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to disclose personal information pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
7. Correction, etc. of Personal Information
If the Company receives a request from a User to correct, supplement, or delete personal information (referred to as “Correction etc.”) pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information on the grounds that the personal information is not accurate, after verifying that the request is from the User, the Company shall without delay perform a necessary investigation to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use, Correct etc. the details of the personal information based on the results of the investigation, and provide notification to the User to that effect (if the Company decides not to perform any Correction etc., it shall provide notification to the User to that effect); provided, however, that this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to perform Correction etc. pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
8. Termination of Use, etc. of Personal Information
If the Company receives a request from a User to terminate the use of personal information or to delete personal information (referred to as “Termination of Use etc.”) pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information on the grounds that handling exceeded the scope of the purposes of use announced in advance or that personal information was acquired fraudulently or through other improper means and the Company determines that there is a basis for the request, after verifying that the request is from the User, the Company shall without delay Terminate Use etc. and provide notification to the User to that effect; provided, however, that this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to Terminate Use etc. pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations
9. Procedures for Requesting Disclosure of Records Provided by Third Parties
If a User requests disclosure of records of personal information provided to or received from a third party pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, after verifying that the request is from the User, the Company shall without delay disclose the records to the User (if the relevant personal information does not exist, then the Company shall provide notification to that effect); provided, however, that this shall not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to disclose the records pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
10. Overseas Transfer of Personal Data
In cases where the Company provides customer personal data to service providers such as Canadian business operators, the Company takes necessary and appropriate measures in accordance with laws and regulations.

11. Disposal of Acquired Personal Information
The Company shall destroy acquired personal information when it deems the information reasonably unnecessary in light of the Company’s ordinary business operations.

13. Revision of this Privacy Policy
The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the case of major revisions to this Privacy Policy, the Company shall post the revisions with the most recent Privacy Policy on its website. Revisions to the Privacy Policy shall take effect when the revised policy is posted on the Company’s website; provided, however, that in cases where revisions to this Privacy Policy require the consent of Users pursuant to laws and regulations, the revised Privacy Policy shall apply only to those Users who consented to the revisions by the means designated by the Company.
